Dusk Before 4:00 on the Charles River

It was raining in Boston on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The sun is sets at about ten past four this time of year, but when it rains, the dusk moment starts at lunch and lasts all afternoon.

MIT looks so regular from the Boston side of the river:

My favorite tree had something to offer:

The back windows of the Beacon Street apartments looked warmer than usual:

Charles River Park is most interesting in the rain or the snow. I take the same photos every time.

  1. For me, walking around the city when it’s so quiet and empty feels so serene and strangely comforting despite the lack of pedestrian and vehicular activities. It’s a special moment for introverts like me!

Thanks Dessen. I’m an introvert too :)

Maybe rain is a gift for the introverts.
