I left my office at MIT for a rare midday trip to the store and found this street art at the foot of Building 7, which is at 77 Mass Ave. in Cambridge, Mass.
The first time I told my mother to meet me at Building 7 after work, she asked me for the real name of the building. When I insisted that its real name was Building 7, she accused me of lying. We’re soft-minded literature types. People like us feel like aliens at MIT most of the time.
That’s why this little intervention ended up giving me more pleasure than the candy I bought on my afternoon office escape. It did its job; it got me thinking.
A common mistake.
Love is the best.
Are you out there, artist?
